Mr & Mrs Hartley
2020
The customer on this project was renovating their family home in Trawden and completely reconfiguring the upstairs layout in the process; converting this room from a medium sized bedroom to a family bathroom. The brief was a luxury, tranquil setting which would practically serve the whole family as the main house bathroom.
The first challenge in this project was to bring supply and waste pipe work to this side of the house, with adequate supply to the drencher shower chosen.
The long, narrow shape of the room meant that the client gained a lot more floor space by configuring the bath alongside the huge walk-in shower; a format which really suits families with young children.
The tiled in void connecting the bath and shower tray created a unique feature and practical, out of sight storage.
The Floor to ceiling tiled walls were first soundproofed due to the location of the room between two main bedrooms.
Creating a niche the full length of the bath/shower wall with the high end ‘L’antic’ feature tile from Porcelanosa gave the room the luxury edge the client was looking for.
The spec included close coupled toilet, shower and shower valves, basin and vanity unit all from Crosswater.
The signature Amtico ‘castle weave’ flooring contrasts with the grey/silver tones to bring warmth and comfort to the room.
With underfloor heating, a custom mirror with de-misting heat pad and LED shadow lighting and custom glass shower panel, this bathroom is full of bespoke features that make the room function to perfection.
We loved the light and airy feel of this bathroom so much, we featured it on our van!
A fully comprehensive service, with great design ideas and excellent workmanship. The house was left clean and tidy every day and the team were always polite and considerate. Highly recommend the design service for ideas we never would have considered, that made the space work much better for us.
It was also nice not having to arrange each trade, as this was all part of the service.
We love all the little details, thank you all!
